An 'Apna invitation' is an e-mail that we send out to supply-chain professionals to invite them for subscription. The recipients become our subscribers only if they accept our invitation.
Why an 'invitation'?
An invitation serves many critical purposes. One, we know that our esteemed readers like to make informed decisions, hence we wish to send them weekly bulletins only if they choose to receive them. We do not want our recipients to go through the familiar, unpleasant experience of locating the 'unsubscribe' link tucked away at the bottom of an unsolicited mail in the middle of a maddening workday. (Disclaimer: To be sure, we do have an 'unsubscribe' link in our bulletin.) Two, we wish to keep our subscription list limited in the same way that we maintain the exclusivity of our content.
Can I receive an invitation?
Indeed, you will, if you are a supply-chain professional working for an enterprise (of any size) with an India presence. We hope you appreciate our policy of exclusivity. If you wish to subscribe right away, you can also do it directly through our site. We will confirm your subscription after quickly ascertaining that you are a supply-chain practitioner or a student of the discipline.
Is there any other way to receive the newsletter?
Yes. Occasionally, we send our newsletters to professionals on the basis of mutual acquaintance or industry association for a limited period. If you have received our newsletter through this mode, kindly subscribe to Apna Supply Chain to continue receiving our newsletters.
What's with all the 'exclusivity'? The reason is twofold: We wish to limit our content to the supply-chain fraternity and we want to save the views of our esteemed contributors from misrepresentation or from general media (mis)use. Then there is the credibility factor, addressed below.
Why so many riders for something as simple as a bulletin subscription? Can't you just stick to mailing your content to everyone like everyone else? Do you have a hidden agenda? We thought you'd never ask. We apologize if you feel that the whole thing is complicated. However, we are not apologetic for our efforts to keep our subscription-list and content exclusive. Our agenda, henceforth no longer hidden, can be described in three words: credibility, utility, and brevity. We realize that it is tough to remain credible and aim for popularity at the same time, which is another reason we opt for exclusivity. In the same vein, we try our best to ensure that our content conforms to our guiding principles of utility and brevity. We would love to hear your views on this at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you charge any fee for your bulletins?
No, not at all. Our service comes with no attached cost; stated or hidden.
